Richly carved of solid oak about 1950, this triple library bookcase from Sweden has a drop front desk and leaded glass doors.
Renaissance motifs include "linenfold" door panels, moldings and stylized drawer fronts. Three independent sections have separate upper and lower pieces. Tops can be configured as desired, then aligned together with wooden pegs, we have finished and plugged outer sides as shown.
The locking drop front desk has a gold tooled leather writing surface, drawers have dovetail joints. Wrought iron hardware is original on this timeless vintage furniture.
Tops of the base units have been revarnished for durability. The rest of the finish is original and in very fine condition - it has been waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain the warm luster.
Three sections each measure 3' wide or 9' wide overall, 19" deep and 78 1/2" tall, base sections are 28 1/2" high.
