Ruggedly crafted about 1910 as a carpenter workbench for woodworking projects, this well worn antique could also be used as a kitchen island or wine and appetizer serving table.
The finish is in excellent condition, preserving the warm patina and lots of character - stains and mars. Solid maple, oak and pine, there is an adjustable iron clamping vise signed "Abernathy, Chicago."
Iron posts in the top aligned wood projects for gluing and fitting. A recessed tray kept tools and parts from rolling away. There is a large drawer and divided shelf, nice for bottles below this functional furniture.
Measurements are 52" long, 26" wide including the vise clamp handle and 37" tall.
Item # F-W656
