Victorian Antique 5' Walnut Rolltop Desk

This antique "S" curve roll-top desk dates from about 1885 and is paneled and finished on all sides, it has original hand-carved drawer pulls. New saddle leather in the top and both pull-out shelves has natural variations and grain. The rich deep finish is in excellent condition with warm antique patina. There is a working lock on the roll top, which slides smoothly.

Inside are letter holders, tiny cubicles and drawers with original cast bronze hardware. Deep lower drawers include two large file drawers with dividers that are a tight fit for folders, they are 9" tall inside. All drawers are dovetailed on this American antique furniture which separates into two parts for moving.

Size is 5' long, 39" deep, 50" tall, the work area is 31" high, the generous kneehole is 23" wide and about 27" high.
