Statue or Sculpture of Shakespeare Seated

Shakespeare is sitting on a bench with a thoughtful expression, holding a book, in this sculpture of spelter, a metal alloy similar to pewter.

The gold finish is charmingly worn and has nice patina on this American statue from around 1890. There appears to be a repair on his left leg, see photos.

Height of this antique work of art is 12" and width is 14."
