Art Deco Carved Antique King Size Bed

This magnificent authentic Art Deco king size bed was carved in Italy about 1925. A fabulous carved fan shaped crest is curly burl, and the rest of the bed is matched walnut burl and curly cherry.

The gleaming finish is excellent, enhancing the hand carved corner accents, all hand carved by a master cabinetmaker in the Milan area of northern Italy.

This palatial bed has been expertly adapted to fit standard modern king size bedding as shown. This stellar antique has the usual slight irregularities and separations characteristic of intricate natural burl wood.

Measurements are 7' 6" long, 80" wide, the box spring would sit about 12" from the floor, the headboard is 5' 5" tall and the footboard is 27 1/2" tall.
