Tahitian Black Pearl Necklace

This beautiful Tahitian Black Pearl necklace is produced exclusively by the exotic black-lipped oyster found in the waters around the islands and atolls of Tahiti.

The color is a dramatic iridescent bluish gray. The color of the host shell influences the color and luster of the pearl it produces.

Purchased in the 1960's this strand was only worn a couple of times, and we see no wear. It is 18" long, without the clasp it is 17" long, The largest pearl in the center is 1" in diameter, or 22mm
