White Cedar Wood Butter Churn

Signed "White Cedar Cylinder Churn, No. 2, Made in USA, 4 Gal." this pine butter churn dates from around 1900.

The paddles inside are original, the iron crank handle has been rebuilt. This country antique appears to be ready to use, but we didn't have 4 gallons of heavy cream to test it. Furthermore, it needs to be soaked so the wood swells and it doesn't leak. The finish is very good, there are iron bindings, and the handle is detachable.

Size of this rustic churn is 15" x 15" and 18" tall.
