Hand made about 1860, a country pine and poplar bookcase is an architectural fragment - it was originally the top of a cabinet or desk. The finish is very good with a solid color stain - there are some chips and losses at the edges for character, see photos.
The old glass in the doors has scratches. Shelves are adjustable on wooden supports, there are mail boxes at the bottom. The rough sawn back is attached with square nails. Moldings around the glass and corner rope carved moldings are original on this American made furniture.
Usable on the floor or on a base or counter, size of this antique display cabinet is 43" wide, 14" deep and 59" tall.
