Victorian Half Tester Brass & Iron Antique 1890's Bed

An 1890's Victorian period brass and iron "half tester" bed was said to have been in a New Orleans bordello. There is a curtain rod for a mosquito net.

This American made antique bed fits a standard full or double size mattress as shown, it could be adapted to fit a queen size mattress if desired.

The half canopy is dramatic, accented with solid brass mounts and balls. The embossed iron frame has a satiny natural lacquer finish. Wooden slats to support the mattress are included.

Dimensions of this furniture are 56" wide, 83" long, the canopy is 87" tall and the elegant curved footboard is 42" high.

The standard full mattress and box spring used for the photos is 20" thick.
