A pair of cherry dropleaf console tables from about 1825 are beautiful examples of American Sheraton period furniture, and can be used as game tables. The tables can be also be joined together with brass forks to form a banquet dining table.
Solid cherry with flame grain mahogany skirts or aprons, this historic furniture has a satiny finish in excellent condition.
Gatelegs swing on hand carved wooden hinges, legs are graceful and elegantly turned.
Measurements when in wall console position are 45" wide, 22" deep and 29" tall, with the dropleaf raised as game tables, size is 40" by 45." Joined together in the fully extended dining table, width is 40" and length is 6' 8" total.
