Turkish Copper Brazier or Charcoal Heater

Hand hammered of copper with brass mounts in the early 1900's, this "brazier" from Turkey was used as a heater.

Fired with charcoal outside, when coals became hot and low, the cover was put on and the heater was carried indoors for warmth.

Charming irregularities and dings show hand work on this traditional brazier, size is 18" diameter and 28" tall.
