Eastlake Walnut 1880 Antique Queen Size Bedroom Set, Marquetry Bird

A wonderful Eastlake or late Victorian two piece bedroom set from about 1880 bears exquisite inlaid marquetry songbirds.

The set includes a bed adapted to queen size and a marble top dresser with mirror. Carved of solid walnut with burl panels, the gleaming deep finish is in excellent condition on this American made furniture.

The chest has original brasses and marble top, which has been polished and sealed. Candle stands flank the original swivel beveled mirror, which has a hint of antique "smoke." Drawers are dovetailed, and dimensions are 43" wide, 18" deep and 6' 9" tall.

The bed was expertly adapted to fit a modern queen mattress as shown, wooden slats to support a spring and mattress are included. Measurements are 7' 3" long, 67" wide, the headboard is 5' 11" tall and the footboard is 33" high.
