Made for a Menasha, Wis. bank about 1900 and signed by maker "Milwaukee Chair Co.," a pair of solid mahogany arm chairs are gracefully curved and very comfortable.
Leather backs are original, fronts are newly upholstered in saddle leather. Frames are tight and ridiculously strong.
"Ergonomic" before the term was invented, the deeply curved backs, sculpted seats and wide arms are very comfortable. The original finish had dings and mars for character, they have been revarnished, preserving their antique character and patina.
Size of this historic furniture is 24" wide, 25" deep, 33" tall and seats are 18" high.
