Carved of solid walnut about 1880, a late Victorian or Eastlake dining table has seven leaves with skirts or aprons. The satiny finish is in excellent condition with a few stains and touchups to the top for antique character.
Incised carving on the pedestal is beautiful, characteristic of the age. When extended, the pedestal separates, revealing a center leg for extra support. Seven leaves include one 18" wide and six 12" wide. There is a small gap in the center when when this imposing American made furniture is closed, see photos.
Measurements are 48" wide, 29 1/2" tall, legroom is 25" high, length when closed is 54" and with all 7 leaves in place, length is just under 12" overall.
