Country Pine Antique 1875 Armoire or Linen Press

Hand crafted of warm wormy pine about 1875, this country armoire or linen press is from northern Europe.

Well worn, the glowing finish is very well preserved with losses, repairs and mars for antique character. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its glow.

Joints have carved pegs instead of nails or screws. Hand planing marks are on every board and the back is rough sawn. Interior shelves are removable, The right door has a working lock and key, reaching inside to the top latch releases the left door. The crown lifts off for easier moving.

Size is 59" wide including the crown, 53" wide in the body, 25" deep, 6' 11" tall and interior depth is 19."
