A late Victorian Eastlake pier or hall mirror from about 1885 has a marble shelf and upper beveled mirror to make the gas lights sparkle.
Solid walnut with round columns and burl panels, this American made furniture has a very fine old finish. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina.
The richly figured marble has a repair that is very difficult to see, it has been polished and sealed to resist stains. There is just a hint of antique "smoke" to the original plate glass mirror to show its age.
Measurements of this imposing mirror are just over 29" wide at the crown, 10" deep and 93" tall.
