This splendid late Victorian or Eastlake 1880 era dining table is solid cherry wood and has six leaves. The rich satiny finish is in excellent condition, there are minor warps and shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
To open, the pedestal splits into two halves, revealing a center leg for extra support. All six 11 3/4" wide leaves have matching skirts or aprons, and fit and match very well. Slides work smoothly on this American made antique furniture.
Measurements are 44" square when closed, 29" tall, legroom is 24 1/2" underneath, and with all six leaves in place, length is 9' 4" overall.
