Bridge in Bruges, Genesen or Genese Flemish Signed 1930's Oil Painting

This painting of a bridge in Bruges, Belgium from the 1930's is signed by listed artist "J. (Jean) de Genese," or Frans ven Genesen in Flemish.

A richly colored original oil painting on canvas shows mastery in the sky and water reflection. The famed Dutch artist lived 1887-1965, noted for his scenes of Bruges, harbor and ocean views and still lifes.

Bruges is one of Europe's best preserved cities and a UN World Heritage site. The burnished dark gold frame is lovely, and measurements are 45" wide, 35" tall and 2 1/2" deep.
