About 25 years old, this contemporary design tall case or grandfather clock is signed "Trend by Sligh of Zeeland, Mich."
The oak and burl case has an excellent finish, accented in brass. The brass movement runs a week on a winding and keeps accurate time. Signed by famous maker, "Kieninger, Made in Germany," it has a switch for silent or strike to count the hours. On each quarter hour, it plays the familiar Westminster chime with deep resonant tone. Other choices are Whittington, St. Michael's or silent. Brass weights, pendulum, winding crank and dial are all original on this vintage furniture.
Measurements are 19" wide, 11" deep and 74" tall.

This clock needs to be "set up" when delivered - weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. Most of our customers can do this as we walk them through the fairly simple steps by phone. The process is not very difficult, and it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved for cleaning, painting or whatever. A few customers prefer to hire a local clockmaker at their own expense to make a house-call and set up the clock, which is usually not very expensive, depending on your location.
