This pair of street lights or lamps were made about 1920 for New York City, then removed and used at a private Chicago airport in 1953.
Signed "King" under the cap, these historic lights are cast aluminum with just enough antique patina to show their age. These octagonal lanterns have hammered glass panes.
Bases are made to fit over a 5 1/2" diameter pipe or post. Inside are original porcelain reflectors and standard mogul size sockets, they would need to be rewired to use.
These American made industrial salvage lights measure 18" across and 54" tall.
