Corticelli Silk Thread 6 Drawer 1880 Spool Cabinet, Jewelry Chest

Signed "Corticelli Silk," this 1880 era 6 drawer spool cabinet crafted to sell spools of thread is also a functional jewelry chest or collector cabinet. Solid walnut with lots of stains and wear for antique character, the satiny finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture.

Five drawers are about 1 1 /2" deep and have glass fronts and carved bottoms shaped for spools of thread. The lower drawer is empty, one embossed brass escutcheon is lost, see photos.

Overall dimensions are 23" wide, 16 1/2" deep and 17" tall.
