Italian Art Deco 1925 Queen Size 5 Pc. Bedroom Set, Marble Tops

A spectacular Art Deco 1925 period queen size bedroom set was hand crafted in northern Italy. Five pieces include a bed, two nightstands, dresser or chest with mirror and a dressing mirror with perfume case.

Walnut with matched burl, the finish is in excellent condition on this dramatic European furniture. Marble tops have been polished and sealed to resist stains. Bakelite and nickel pulls are original, drawers have hand cut dovetail joints.

Classical detailing is carved by hand, beveled mirrors are original with a little antique "smoke" to show their age. Sides and the bed are all "bombe" or convex shaped.

The bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress and spring unit, the demonstrator set in photos is 15" thick together. Wood slats underneath are included. Dimensions are 90" long, 74" wide, the head board is 60" tall and the footboard is 29" high.

A true pair of right and left nightstands each measure 17" wide, 16" deep and 33" tall.

The dresser or chest has large drawers and is 62" wide, 24" deep, 72" tall and the marble top is 38" high.

The dressing mirror has a lower perfume case with sliding glass doors. Measurements are 38" wide, 15" deep and 72" tall.
