German 1880 Antique Cylinder Roll Top Desk, Carved Walnut, Leather Top

An outstanding cylinder or barrel roll top desk was hand crafted in Germany about 1880. The finish is in excellent condition with warm patina on richly figured walnut.

There are small mars and shrinkage separations from age, see photos. Hand carved details, knobs and finials are all original. The roll glides smoothly, inside is a pull out writing surface inlaid with leather. There are no keys except for the small door inside. Drawers have solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms.

This historic European antique furniture disassembles for easier moving. Measurements are 58" wide, 34" deep, 65" tall and the desktop is 31" high.
