This street light or lamp was made about 1920 for New York City, then removed and used at a private Chicago airport in 1953.
Signed "King" under the cap, this historic light is cast aluminum with just enough antique patina to show their age. These octagonal lanterns have hammered glass panes.
The base is made to fit over a 5 1/2" diameter pipe or post. Inside is empty, a socket would need to be installed and wired to use.
This American made industrial salvage light measures 18" across and 54" tall.
