A cylinder rolltop desk from the late Victorian or Eastlake period about 1885 is solid quarter sawn oak. Incised spoon or chip carving is authentic. The finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture.
Behind original wavy glass doors with a working lock are adjustable shelves. The barrel roll glides smoothly open, inside is a pull out leather writing surface and tiny cubicles and a drawer. Lower drawers have dovetailed joints and embossed brass pulls, the door also has a working lock and key.
Two separate pieces for easier moving, measurements are 36" wide at the crown, 22" deep, 82 1/2" tall and the desktop is 29" high.
