Oak 1880 Antique German Renaissance Cabinet or Back Bar, Carved Face & Galleries

Hand carved in Germany about 1880, this solid oak cabinet or back bar shows exquisite workmanship in the Renaissance manner.

The top of the base has been revarnished for durability, the rest of the original finish is in very fine condition and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. There are small dings and mars for antique character, see photos.

Artistic details include the carved face, galleries and paneled doors with medallions. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, there is a pull out serving shelf. Opulent brass hardware is original, door locks still work on this historic European furniture. The upper section is removable for easier transport.

Measurements are 57" wide, 28" deep, 88" tall and the base is 38 1/2" high.
