Hand carved of solid walnut in the 1860's during the Victorian period, a secretary desk has an excellent gleaming finish, preserving just enough mars and ink stains for a little antique character.
The drop front has a natural saddle leather insert. Inside are cubicles and drawers, one with pen and inkwell compartments. Two keys operate the original upper and lower locks on this American made furniture, the drawer has hand cut dovetail joints and no key.
Measurements are 35" wide, 20" deep, 62" tall and the desktop slopes up from 29" high at the front.
