Victorian 1880 Antique Walnut Cylinder Roll Top Secretary Desk, Marble Top

From the Victorian period about 1880, this secretary desk has a cylinder roll top and pull out writing surface. Solid walnut with matched burl panels, this American made furniture has been restored with a lustrous warm finish in excellent condition, preserving a few stains and mars for antique character.

Inside is a new natural saddle leather work top plus tiny cubicles and drawers for documents. Lower drawers have round "pin and cove" dovetail joints of the era plus brass and ebonized drop pulls. Marble on top is antique, but probably not original. The compartment door has a working lock.

Dimensions are 39" wide, 21" deep, 42" tall and the desktop is 29 1/2" tall.
