Signed "Edison Model C250," this wind up phonograph has a mahogany case and is entirely original. The "Diamond Disc" series with genuine diamond needle was produced from 1912 to 1929.
In great working order, this top of the line record player has beautiful tone.
There are two gold plated heads, one with a diamond needle to play the thick Edison records and another for Victor and all other brand of 78 rpm discs. The Edison head is completely rebuilt with a new diamond needle.
The finish is in very fine condition, there is slight crazing or crackling plus a few scratches for antique character, see photos. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm luster.
There is a sliding "earmuff" volume control, speed and off switch plus lever drop cuing. A selection of thick Edison records plus a few standard records are is included with this American made antique furniture.
Measurements when closed are 23" wide excluding the removable crank, 25" deep and 51" tall.
