Cherry Victorian Eastlake 1880 Antique Bedroom Set, Queen Size Bed & Dresser

A solid curly cherry 1880's bedroom set was hand carved in the late Victorian or Eastlake period. The bed was expertly adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress as shown, the dresser has a swivel mirror. A satiny restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture, which has understated incised carving.

Wood support cross pieces are included with the bed, shown with a demonstrator mattress and spring unit that are 19" thick together. Bed measurements are 87" long, 70" wide, the headboard is 7' tall and the foot board is 33" high.

The chest or dresser has a detachable swivel mirror with later plate glass mirror. Drawers have round or "pin and cove" dovetail joints and original brass ring pulls. Size is 52" wide, 24" deep, 80" tall and the top is 29" high.
