Dinner Chimes from Railroad Dining Car, Pat. 1919 Deagan, Chicago

When rail travel was an elegant affair, this set of dining chimes was carried through the train and chimed the dinner hour.

The five note nickel chime bars produce beautiful resonant tones, there is an original mallet.

Signed "J. C. Deagan of Chicago," there are patents from 1899 to 1918 on the signature label. Deagan is famous for its xylophones and marimbas as well.

Size is 9" x 9 1/2" x 3" tall.
