Signed "Edison Disc Phonograph," a floor model wind up record player is in beautiful original condition. The gold-plated hardware is all original, this machine works very well, with remarkably fine tone and a quiet motor.
A selection of original Edison records is included as shown, this machine plays only genuine thick Edison 78 rpm records. The original finish is very well preserved on mahogany, with some fine crackling or crazing and just enough wear for a little antique character. The original gold signature is intact under the lid.
A plate is engraved model "S19, Thomas Edison Co, NJ" and the latest patent date is May 23, 1916. The sliding volume control moves an "earmuff" in the horn behind the grillwork in front, the cloth is a replacement. There is also a speed control and automatic shut off after playing.
Dimensions of this nostalgic American made antique furniture are 20" wide excluding the removable crank, 21" deep and 45" tall.
