Victorian Student Oil Desk Lamp, Electrified, Signed Manhattan Brass, Pat. 1874

A Victorian period student desk lamp was signed "Manhattan Brass Co., Pat. May (18)74."

Originally oil or kerosene burning, the font was off to the side to allow light to shine down onto paperwork. Newly electrified with a switch on the cord, this American made light has adjustable height.

The 8" diameter milk glass shade appears original. Measurements are 12" across, 8" deep and 23" tall.
