A pair of oak five stack "lawyer" bookcases dates from the early 1900's, sections are signed "Macey" except one unit is signed "Globe Wernicke."
The restored deep finish on quarter sawn oak is in excellent condition on this American made library or office furniture. Coppery mounts are original.
Lift up doors have original wavy glass. Bases and tops are also separate pieces on this antique pair.
All sections are 10" deep, the small section fits books up to 10 1/2" tall, three sections up to 11" tall and the bottom section fits up to 12" tall.
Overall size is 34 1/2" wide, 13" deep and 79" tall.
