Maitland Smith Signed Pair of Carved Classical Chairs, Griffin Sculptures

A pair of richly carved armchairs with classical motifs were signed by luxury maker, "Maitland Smith," about 10 years ago.

The original fruitwood finish is subtly distressed to look antique and is in superb condition on this large and comfortable furniture. Pewter sculptures of griffins support the arms. Original microsuede upholstery is in very fine condition. There are fan shaped rattan panels in the backs. Frames are tight and strong.

Measurements are 25" wide, 26" deep, 37" tall and the deep seats are 20" high.
