This style of adjustable footstool from the 1890's was called a "gout" stool, useful to relieve the painful foot condition.
Solid walnut, the old finish is in very fine condition on this American made antique furniture. Velvety upholstery is recent and is clean. Adjustable with two separate saw tooth mechanisms, this stool can have any angle or height.
In the lowest position, size is 19" long, 17" wide and 16" tall, in the highest position, height is 27."
