Italian Walnut Antique 4 pc. Bedroom Set, Marble, Carved Angels, King Size Bed

A spectacular four piece bedroom set was hand carved in Italy with angels or cherubs about 1900. The set includes a king size bed plus a pair of marble top nightstands and a chest or dresser with mirror. A label on the back of the dresser is signed, "Valdagno," a small town near Vicenza in northeastern Italy.

The restored finish is in excellent condition with warm patina on wormy walnut. Three dimensional deep carving shows masterful artistry on this antique furniture. Marble tops have been polished and sealed to resist stains. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints.

The bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern king size mattress as shown. Wood support slats and center legs are included. The demonstrator mattress and spring units in photos are 18" thick together. Size is 7' wide, 87" long, the headboard is 65" tall and the footboard is 39" high.

A true pair of right and left nightstands have original carved pulls. Size is 19" wide, 16" deep and 32" tall.

The chest or dresser has an original beveled mirror with a little "smoke" to show its age. Measurements are 51" wide, 25" deep, 85" tall and the base is 40" high.
