New England Antique 1840 Rocking Baby Cradle with Hood, Original Paint

This rocking baby cradle with a hood to stop drafts descended in a New England family since about 1840. Hand crafted of pine, the original hand painting and stenciling has been preserved with clear varnish. There have been various restorations over the years, see photos.

Dimensions are 38" long, 21" wide and 25" tall.
