A traditional Italian "Savonarola" chair from the 1930's is named for the fiery Renaissance monk, famed for his "Bonfire of Vanities" in Florence.
The renewed finish is in excellent condition on fruitwood, carved with three dimensional lion head sculptures. When the back is removed, this chair folds, as they were often used to view processions outdoors.
Measurements are 26" wide, 20" deep, 34" tall and the seat is 18" high.
