A French Empire pillar clock from about 1870 is in very fine working condition, signed by noted maker "S. Marti et Cie." There is another script signature on the back of the dial, see photos.
The old finish is very well preserved on this antique clock. Gilt bronze mounts are authentic, there are hairline cracks on the porcelain dial. The movement runs a week on a winding, counting the hour and the half on a silvery bell.
Measurements are 10" wide, 5" deep and 18" tall.
