Dog Bed made from 1840 Antique Rope Bed, Cannon Ball Posts

This dog bed was made from an 1840 era "rope" bed, which still has the wooden pegs to wind a rope "spring" around. Hand carved of solid poplar and maple, there are "cannon ball" posts.

The restored finish preserves lots of mars and shrinkage separations from age for antique character on this American made furniture. A mattress would fit up to 37" x 44."

Size is 48" wide, 42" deep and 18 1/2" tall.
