Made as a workbench or desk for a watch and clock maker about 1910, this stand up or stool height desk is solid birch hardwood. A pull out "parts catcher" has a soft fabric bottom to keep errant watch parts from bouncing away. A groove on the front top also caught rolling parts.
The deep finish is in excellent condition, preserving lots of mars and stains for antique character. Tools were mounted on the top, holes have been plugged, see photos. There is another rough hole in the back for cables.
Twelve drawers have original bin pulls, there is also a swing out compartment for bits or tools on this American made furniture.
Measurements are 39" wide, 19" deep and the top is 38" high.
