A Victorian period upright piano from the 1890's has a carved case in remarkably fine original condition. Signed "Morris of Listowel, Ontario," this Canadian piano was sold by a dealer in Montreal.
The beautiful exotic wood is African Padauk or Vermillion, a close relative of rosewood.
About 20 years ago, this musical instrument was refurbished, including new bass strings, so the warm bass register has much better tone than most antique pianos.
Size is 64" wide, 27" deep and 55" tall.
