Temple Arch Antique Architectural Fragment, Hand Carved & Painted, India

A remarkable hand carved arch from a temple in India is antique architectural salvage with original hand painting. Probably well over 100 years old, this three dimensional sculpture has numerous restorations and repairs.

The well worn finish has been preserved with clear varnish.

This work of art has been mounted on modern black resin columns, and lifts off these later supports. Elephants and figures face one side, the back is painted as well.

Overall dimensions are 71" wide, 11" deep and 67" tall. The the black bases are 33" tall.
