This style of Victorian 1890 era oil floor light was called a piano or organ lamp, because it was adjustable to illuminate music. Signed, "Made in America," the filigree shade has faceted opal and stained glass "jewels."
The original oil or kerosene burner has been electrified with a standard base socket and switch on the cord.
Wrought iron and brass, this antique light height could be adjusted with an Allen wrench.
Measurements are 22" across the base, and height including the glass chimney is 66" as shown, adjustable from 59" to 74" overall.
