Victorian Eastlake Antique Walnut Queen Size Bedroom Set, Marble Tops #28866

An outstanding late Victorian or Eastlake period bedroom set from about 1870 was hand carved of solid walnut with burl panels and marble tops. This three piece antique set includes a dresser with mirror, washstand or small chest and bed adapted to fit a queen size mattress.

The restored gleaming finish is in excellent condition on this American made furniture. Three dimensional carving is exquisite, the matching branch and leaf solid brass pulls are original.

Expertly adapted for a standard modern queen size mattress and spring unit, the demonstrator set in photos is 18" thick together. Wood cross pieces as shown are included. Measurements are 88" long, 68" wide, the headboard is 86" tall and the footboard is 34" high.

Chests have marble tops that have been polished and given a protective finish. Drawers have solid cherry wood sides and bottoms with hand cut dovetail joints.

There are candle stands flanking the swivel mirror on the dresser. The original beveled mirror has silvering losses and a little "smoke" to show its age. Size is 48" wide, 21" deep, 86" tall and the marble top is 29" high.

Nightstand size is 35" wide, 19" deep, 39" tall and the top is 29" high.
