An adjustable swivel desk chair from about 1920 is solid quarter sawn oak, signed "W.H. Gunlocke of Wayland, NY." The sculpted seat and curved lumbar spindles are comfortable.
The restored deep finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few mars for a little antique character. Reglued to serve another generation, this rugged American made library or office furniture is strong and sturdy. The original iron mechanism has adjustable height and tilt, ball bearing wheels are modern replacements.
Measurements are 18 1/2" wide, 23" deep, 35" tall and the seat is 20" high as shown, adjustable up and down.
