Tantalus Antique Silverplate Cut Crystal Decanter Set, England #29098

A classic "Tantalus" or locking silverplate caddy holds three cut crystal decanters with fitted stoppers. A key releases the sliding lock to release the bottles. This antique set from England is unsigned, and dates from the early 1900's.

Silverplate label plates have some copper showing, and are engraved "Whiskey, Brandy and Sherry."

Decanters are in beautiful condition, one has a repaired chip at the top and are 9 1/2" tall. The caddy measures 13 1/2" long, 5 1/2" wide and 11 1/2" tall with the handle in upright position.
