A wonderful pair of doors with brass and iron mounts and locks includes an original frame, all hand carved of solid teak around 1900. Antique architectural salvage from India, the hand carved details are masterful.
The waxed finish is in very fine condition, preserving traces of old paint. The frame assembles without screws or nails. Original mounts include engraved banding and a giant iron lock inside plus a sliding bolt outside.
Doors never attached to the frame, they were mounted to the building wall behind the frame, upper wooden "hinge" pins are still attached. Hardware would be required to hang the doors.
Frame measurements are 103" tall and 72" wide to the tips, the body is 60" wide, opening is 48" wide and depth is 28" overall, the interior tips could be shortened if desired. Doors are 26" and 28" wide and 94" tall.
