Walnut & Burl Oval Antique Marble Top End Table or Nightstand, Jewel Tray #29386

A marvelous oval nightstand or end table is walnut with matched burl and inlaid satinwood banding plus a black marble top. This American made antique furniture dates from about 1920. There is no signature remaining on this, but a matching piece is still labelled "Peck & Hills, NY & LA."

The restored gleaming finish is in excellent condition, preserving worn hand painted original accents, see photos. A drawer has a solid mahogany interior with dovetailed joints and original brass knob. There is a covered jewelry compartment on top, the curved door has a working lock. The famous "Nero Portoro" marble has been polished and given a protective finish.

Size is 24" wide, 17" deep and 31" tall to the marble top, 33" tall including the acorn handle.
